So today I was at the local bridal shop (no don’t worry about me! lol — I’m a bridesmaid in Jill’s wedding!) So there I was, standing on the platform so the lady could pin the hem.
Nearby, there was a high school girl trying on a beautiful dress for prom.
Conversation between the girl, her mom and another high school age girl who was working in the shop. They talked about attending the same high school…
and
the girl’s mom asked me: “Do you go to AHS too?” (and it was a genuine question, not in jest)
I managed to not laugh out loud and explained that I wasn’t trying on a prom dress and thanked her.
And I kept silent about the fact that I graduated from high school 18 years ago!

yah, it’s that sweet innocent Midwestern thing that fools people who don’t know you. WE know better…hehehehe
